A Job That Counts!
With us, you contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses.
About the Job
As a case officer in debt restructuring, you primarily work to investigate the conditions for debt restructuring, with support from lawyers in the section.
You investigate cases of varying scope and complexity, assess and decide whether the requirements for debt restructuring are met. The tasks consist of many written and verbal contacts with those seeking debt restructuring, those who want to be paid, municipal budget and debt advisors, and other authorities. With the support of laws and regulations, you make an assessment of the documentation and make decisions. The cases you handle require legal certainty, speed, and efficiency.
You will undergo internal training where practice is combined with theory, and you will also have a mentor who supports you initially. You are part of a section that collectively takes responsibility for results, planning, and distribution of work.
Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a case officer, you may, for example, discover various types of crime when assessing an application for debt restructuring. This can result in you helping to stop incorrect payments from the welfare system.
About You
As an employee at the Enforcement Authority, you are expected to live up to our employee policy (https://www.kronofogden.se/jobba-hos-oss/medarbetarpolicy). You take initiative, are engaged, and take responsibility for achieving goals. You contribute to the development of the organization and help your colleagues succeed. You treat others with respect, kindness, and actively listen to others while showing a positive attitude.
You work results-oriented, show decisiveness, and focus on what needs to be achieved. You are stable and trustworthy in meetings with people in vulnerable situations. You communicate easily and are pedagogical in your interactions with customers. You have an analytical ability that allows you to see connections and find the most effective solution. You adapt to the circumstances and the changes that occur.
Your Qualifications:
- higher education or university degree with at least 180 credits (120 points according to the old system) in law, economics, social sciences, or another equivalent higher education. Alternatively, 3 years of experience working at the Enforcement Authority
- good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is desirable that you have relevant work experience in public authority operations or other qualified investigative work.

We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked of referees. The information obtained is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the current position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in the security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
